FUTURES $2850 windfall
The U.S. dollar futures contract rose up to 570 points yesterday. This represents a gain of SNZ2BSO per contract for those long (with selling positions). The rise reflected the fall in the Kiwi dollar on the foreignexchange market. * PCP contracts again rose, reflecting anticipations of lower interest rates. Wool contracts rose 10c across the board, reflecting the lower dollar’s effect on wool prices.
