Rainbow buys into aquarium
PA ■ Auckland Rainbow Corp, Ltd, has ■bought 40 per cent of the issued capital of Kelly Tarlton’s Underwater World, Ltd. The consideration has not been disclosed, but market sources said it was unlikely to be less than $2 million. The managing director of Rainbow, Mr Craig Heatley, said the involvement with Kelly Tarlton’s Underwater World complemented the company’s leisure facilities in Auckland. The complex, he said, had exciting potential. The aquarium, which opened in January, is established as a tourist attraction. The Development Finance Corp, a minority shareholder in Kelly Tarlton Underwater World, welcomed the association with Rainbow.
