The unit employs three glassblowers and undertakes mainly prototype, development and short run production of scientific glassware for the life sciencles. Commencing salary within the range of 517.516 to $13,665 depending on qualifications and experience. A person with some glassblowing experience would be preferred but consideration would be given to employing a trainee. The appointees vrtll be required to teach marketing to graduate level with the opportunity o* some involvement, it desired. In a second teaching area such as business policy. Opportunities exist for consulting and contributing to post experience courses for practising managers. Applicants should normally hold a higher degree. Alternatively they may have a good first degree coupled with relevant business experience and the ability and willingness to undertake a higher degree on a part-time basis. The Department of Management Studies is a multidisciplinary department with an establishment of 30. It is central to a four year undergraduate programme leading to the Bachelor of Management Studies and contributes to a masters programme and the research degrees of M. Phil and D. PhiL An applied research and management development unit is attached to the department. The department has access to good computing facilities via a VAX network and micro computers are also available to staff.
