School clothing awards
Sharlene Inch, of Rangiora High School, has won the North Christchurch Zonta Club’s annual secondary school clothing awards premier section. Clothing designed and made by students was modelled and judged at Burnside High School on Monday evening. More than 200 entries were accepted from 172 pupils. Prizewinners were:— Premier award: Sharlene Inch (Rangiora High School) 1, Sarah Chisnall (Burnside High School) 2. Child’s garment: Lynette Clapham (Rangiora) 1, Leanne Steers (Papanui High School) 2, Claire Duncan (Sacred Heart) 3. . Form 3:— Own choice: Lucia Greenslade (Burnside) 1. Shirt or blouse: Janita Berry (Burnside) 1. Form Four:— Own choice: Lisa Ferguson (Middleton Grange) 1. Dress: Sarah Mattsen 1.
Form s:— Own choice: Leeanne Nisbet (Mairehau High School) 1, Two-piece outfit: Leisa Gemmell (Cashmere High School) 1. Forms 6 and 7:— Own choice: Sharlene Inch (Rangiora) 1, Two-piece outfit: Sarah Chisnall (Burnside) 1. Special prize: Luca Soulos (Rangiora).
