N.Z. prints
From JOHN HUTCHISON in San Francisco Five New Zealand artists will exhibit here this month and September in an exhibition by the World Print Council called “Contemporary Prints from New Zealand.” Two are from Dunedin: Marilyn Webb, with linoleum engravings, and Jeffrey Harris, with etchings. Kate Coolahan of Wellington will be represented with etchings on her own hand-
made paper. Gretchen Albrecht of Auckland will show woodcuts and etchings, also on her own paper, and Philippa Blair of Christchurch will exhibit screenprints and aquatints. Ms Judith Dunham, director and curator of the gallery, said that about 25 prints will be shown. The council, active since 1973, is a non-profit organisation which encourages printmaking and collecting. The show will be from August 13 to September 13.
