Hastings fall

PA Hastings Paddy Kauri suffered bruising to his left thigh in a heavy fall in the first race at the Dannevirke Hunt Club's meeting at Hastings yesterday. Kauri’s mount, Zarafa, fell at the last fence in the Oringi Hurdles. Another runner, Roxsyn, went over the top of the fallen horse and rider, hitting Kauri. Kauri was stood down from riding for the rest of the day and was replaced by John Albert on Peka Prince in the Roake Steeples.
