Rotary district governor chosen
A Christchurch businessman, Mr Brian Lee, has been appointed a Rotary Governor for District 997, the Canterbury-Marl-borough-West Coast area. He was elected to the position by Rotary International at its convention in Kansas City in the United States in May. District 997 comprises 33 clubs.
Mr Lee is South Island manager of the A.H.I. Plastic Extrusion Company.
He joined the Rotary Club of Hornby in 1963, and was president in 1979-80. He
served on the District 997 foundation committee, was chairman in 1983-84, and district governors’ representative in 1984-85.
Mr Lee, who was educated at Christchurch Boys’ High School, is qualified as an accountant. He is a fellow of the Institute of Management and a past-presi-dent of its Canterbury division.
