University Vacancies LINCOLN COLLEGE PROFESSOR OF PLANT SCIENCE THE Council of Lincoln College invites applications for the Chair in Plant Science. This vacancy arises from the retirement of Professor R. H. M. Langer. Applicants should hold an advanced degree In Science or Agricultural Science, have an established record of research and/or teaching in Plant Science and have special competence in at least one of the fields of Agronomy, Plant Physiology, Plant Breeding or Ecology. The appointment will be made within the current range of Professorial salaries for New Zealand Universities. The range is: $45,319-$56,602. Expenses of appointment will be reimbursed up to specified limits. Government Superannuation is available. Salary and level of appointment will depend upon qualifications and experience. A Ph.D. is required. Tertiary teaching experience and demonstrated ability to attract research funds would be desirable. The successful applicant will be expected to collaborate with other staff in the development of Joint teaching and research programmes in biomechanics and the wider field of kinesiology. SALARY" Lecturer, $23,622-$27,928 per annum. A particularly well qualified applicant may be considered for appointment at a higher level.
