Hospital Board Appointments PALMERSTON NORTH HOSPITAL BOARD SPECIALIST RADIOLOGISTS APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED from suitably qualified Specialist Radiologists for positions at Palmerston North Hospital. There are at present vacancies for TWO WHOLE-TIME positions or the equivalent in PART-TIME VISITING positions, i.e. 4 Radiologists on a 5/10 basis, 1 Radiologist on WHOLE-TIME plus 2 PART-TIME VISITING, or any other equivalent. There is great potential for private practice. The Department of Radiology comprises 9 rooms equipped with modern equipment including some special procedures rooms designed to theatre specifications. There is an Ultrasound Suite which is currently being upgraded to contain the best equipment available. A SIEMENS DR3O CT Scanner is being installed and will be functioning in October of this year. The Department is responsible for various mobile units located at key points throughout the hospital. There is a full Nuclear Medicine Department in an adjacent block with scope for clinical collaboration between the two departments.
