90-minute ski film
“Ski Country,” Warren Miller’s latest 90-minute, fun-filled and fast-paced adventure film about the world of ski-ing will be screened at the Christchurch Town Hall this Sunday, at 11 a.m., and 1, 3 and 5 p.m. Featured are some of the best acrobatic and daring practitioners of the popular winter sport, as well as water-ski jumpers and week-end sailors, grass roller-ski enthusiasts and mattress sliders. It was photographed by six pairs of camera crews who travelled to 25 locations around the world to capture the breathtaking footage, beginning in the Southern Alps of New Zealand in August of 1983.
