Easter crafts

A Christchurch craft shop is this week holding afterschool workshops for children to make festive novelties for Easter. The programme at Several Arts, in Colombo Street, opened yesterday with egg painting. Today, autumn mobiles will be made in the session from 3.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The subject of tomorrow’s programme (also from 3.30 p.m. to 5 p.m.) is strawcraft. Dyeing eggs, printing Easter cards, making bread dough dolls and autumn

garlands are the activities planned for Thursday’s workshop which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Eastercraft workshops are designed especially for children, but anybody is welcome to attend. Eggs should be taken to Thursday’s session. Several Arts, at 807 Colombo Street (between Kilmore and Peterborough Streets) is an educational centre as well as a craft shop. Skilled craftspeople sometimes demonstrate their work on the premises.
