Mushroom tart
Ingredients Pastry: 125 grams butter 1 cup flour 125 grams cream cheese Filling: 60 grams butter 250 grams mushrooms 2 onions 1 green pepper 3 eggs % cup warm milk Salt and pepper Chopped parsley Method Pastry: 1. Cream butter and cheese together. 2. Add sifted flour and blend with fork. 3. Wrap mixture in waxed paper and refrigerate for one hour. 4. Roll out to fit 23cm pie plate. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
Filling: 1. Melt butter, add sliced mushrooms, chopped onions and chopped pepper. Stir in pan for five minutes. 2. Add beaten eggs and milk. 3. Season to taste with salt and pepper. 4. Carefully pour into prepared pie case. 5. Bake in a hot oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to moderate and bake for a further 30 minutes, or until set. 6. Serve sprinkled with parsley.
