NZPA-AAP Launceston The promising Australian cyclist, 18-year-old Dean Woods, rocketed to a world solo individual 4000 metres pursuit record at the national amateur track championships in Launceston yesterday. Woods clocked 4min 34.6535, taking 3.28 s off the solo record set by Russian ace Viktor Kupovets in Moscow almost two years ago.
