Hundreds seek jobs at show
The response to an advertisement for people to sell Torvill and Dean programmes and merchandise has been “marvellous, absolutely incredible,” according to Mrs Ngaire Stent, merchandise manager of Playbill New Zealand, Ltd.
Mrs Stent said that she interviewed 70 to 80 people for the 20 positions and
three times that number had telephoned. It was “absolutely amazing,” she said.
Mrs Stent said that it had been necessary to stop taking calls. She said that she was looking for people, preferably over the age of 25, who were outgoing, with a smart appearance to work during the shows.
