Woman dies of wounds

A young woman died of gunshot wounds in a house near Hokitika shortly before 10 o’clock last evening. The death is being treated by the police as homicide. A man was being interviewed last evening and according to the Hokitika police noone else is being sought. Detective Sergeant Alistair Smith and Detective Bill Thiele, of the Greymouth C. 1.8., went to Hokitika for the investigation.
