Drug thefts from medical centres

Drugs were stolen from two medical centres in south Christchurch on Monday evening. Four ampoules of morphine and a small amount of cash was taken from the Woolston Medical Rooms in Dyers Road. Entry was through a rear window.

The Waltham Medical Centre in Waltham Road also was burgled and some

drugs taken. The police were unable to say yesterday what sort of drugs were taken although a spokesman described them, as dangerous.

The burglaries were not discovered at either premises until workers arrived yesterday morning. A police spokesman said the burglaries might be linked.
