Washington D.C.
Sir,—l am very grateful to your Government for keeping nuclear weapons away from New Zealand, even if it does make the United States Government unhappy. I regret that my Government is so eager to embrace nuclear weapons. My husband and I live just outside Washington, D.C. and work in the city. Whether we are at home or at work, if there is a nuclear war, our chance of survival is none at all. And we would be the lucky ones — Yours, etc., NANCY K. WILLIAMS. March 3, 1985.
