Two face murder charges
PA Wellington Two men appeared in the District Court at Lower Hutt on Monday charged with murder.
Joseph Hoihepa Moana, aged 21, unemployed, of Wellington, was charged with murdering Ron Edward Walker in Stokes Valley, north of Wellington, .on Saturday.
Moana did not plead when he appeared before Judge Robertson. He was remanded in custody to March 18.
Edward Peter Maunsell, aged 20, unemployed, of Stokes Valley, was charged with murdering Brent' Clapham, aged 16. The charge arose from an incident early on Sunday morning. Maunsell was remanded in custody by consent to March 25 by Judge Kearney.
