Fire station to nightclub
Conversion of the old Sydenham fire station into the Firehouse Nightclub started yesterday and may be completed by early September. The building’s owner, Mr Arthur McKee, said that nightclub seating would be on three different levels, including a mezzanine floor overlooking the first floor. A kitchen, services and toilets would be built on the ground floor.
Mr McKee said the conversion project would retain the 60-year-old building’s character. Car-parking will be provided across the back of the Colombo Street nightclub. Over the years, several uses have been proposed for
