Club gains sponsor
For this season, the St Albans Cricket Club has been able to attract a large cash sponsorship from the Norwich Life Insurance Society. Part of the money has been spent to outfit the men’s and women’s senior sides. “We are particularly grateful to Norwich for their generosity," said the club president, Mr Alan Jamieson.
“We believe that this is a first for a Christchurch senior side, and are particularly pleased that Norwich saw St Albans as a well-run and successful club and one which to be associated with. “We only hope that our senior women will retain their senior title and that the men will make it a club double by taking out “The Press’ pennant, and so giving our sponsor an added bonus,” Mr Jamieson added.
