Salmon move approved
Salmon and Spraggon Investments, Ltd, has received approval from the Ex-, aminer of Commercial Practices to take up to 100 per cent of Salmond Industries, Ltd. The investment company, which is headed by the chairman of Salmond Industries, Mr G. W. Salmond, already holds 30.2 per cent of the capital of the Well-ington-based pharmaceutical group. Three directors of the investment company, Mr G. W. Salmond, Mr I. R. Salmond (also a director of Salmond Industries), and Mr C. D. Williams, were away, but a fourth director, Mr C. G. Bond, said yesterday that it was not his place to comment on the announcement.
But, he said, “I’m not aware of any bid.”
