Sheridan Miss in smart trial

Sheridan Miss turned in a smart 600 m sprint in training at Hastings yesterday morning as she prepared for tomorrow’s Hawke’s Bay Hunt meeting. Even Tide, another steeplechase entrant for tomorrow, ran 1400 m on the «in Imin 43.25, the 0 in 45.25.
Cu Nim took 53.5 s for 800 m, the last 600 in 39.95. She looks to have come up well in what is probably going to be her last preCaration. She will prqbably e retired to stud at the end
of the year. Fast work was done on the plough (easy) and course proper (soft). Sheridan Miss recorded a fast 36.5 s for 600 on the
plough. She is one of the best track gallopers in Hastings, Her raceday form is a little patchy, but she could start on her home track this week, Storm, preparing for tomorrow’s Roake Steeples, ended two rounds of pacework on the plough with 600 m in 42.45. He took a
spectacular toss in his last start on the Hastings track but his form before that was good.
Jessanne beat Radiata Pine over 800 m in 54.95, the last 600 in 41.25. Jessanne failed at Otaki last week but was placed three of four times before that.
Memorable ran the first of two 600 m sprints in 38s, while Tanami came home the last 400 of her 800ni gallop in 27.55. Red Sierra clocked 38.7 s for 600 m on the course proper and Modinka ran an easy 600 on the plough in 43.35.
The jumpber, Thunderchild, the last 800 m of his workout on the plough in 54.45. ’
