Election attitudes

Sir,—l am concerned that people are still very keen to talk about and destroy characters over the change of Government. Hasn’t the election' finished? Doesn’t the public get sick of continual blame of Mr Muldoon, for the present state of our country? I only ask that if the present Government has something to do to make this country’s affairs better, then get on with it instead of mouthing off insults. Words need to be followed up with actions, and we will stand by in the next three years to see if this Government will do this. They cannot say they have not had the chance to prove themselves.— Yours, etc.,

D. A. LAWRIE July 27, 1984.
