Rolling Stones rift denied

NZPA-AAP London Mick Jagger has scotched rumours that the Rolling Stones have split. He denied reports of a rift with other members of the band, according to the “Daily Mirror." “The Stones will roll on forever,” Jagger said. Rumours of a row began after Jagger, aged 40, announced plans for his first solo album, due out in October. However, he said yesterday: “One of the reasons we have stayed together so long is because we have an agreement to go off and do our own thing, then join up again. “We’re still the best of mates — nothing has changed.” He said the band planned a new album later this year.
