NZPA Bath The West of England will take a 21-run lead with nine second innings wickets in hand in to the second day of its women’s cricket match against New Zealand. In the Kiwis’ first two-day match of the tour against county oppositioin, the West declared at 167 for 3 after 57 overs. New Zealand led by a 96mbaute unbeaten 50 from the Central Districts player, Jackie Clark, then declared at

152 for 4 from 36 overs. At stumps, the West was 6 for 1 in its second innings. The New Zealand bowling was at best friendly and the attack was well below strength, missing Sue Brown (ill), Linda Fraser (injured) and Sue Rattray (rested). Scores: West of England 167 for 3 dec.
