7175 new cars sold
PA Wellington New Zealanders again bought thousands of new cars last month. Post Office figures issued yesterday showed that 7175 new cars had been registered _in June, the fourth month this year in which sales have exceeded 7000. In the first half of 1983, only one month had sales of more than 6000, and the June figure was only 4722, the lowest June figure since 1969. The total for the first six months of 1984 was 45,278, compared with 37,520 for the first half of last year.
