' An opportunity has arisen for a Project Purchasing Assistant to work in our Supplies Department, based in our New Plymouth offices. This position forms an important link between the company’s planning/construction engineers and its suppliers, ensuring that materials are purchased at competitive prices with timely delivery in order to meet scheduled construction deadlines. Operating with and within financial and computerised material systems, the incumbent undertakes full and effective utilisation of the Company’s stocks and stores facilities. The successful candidate will be educated to U.E. and preferably be undertaking or have completed further study in purchasing and supply. At least five years experience in a supply/engineering environment is essential, with knowledge of computerised materials/administrative systems advantageous. This is a permanent position with access to the Shell Pension Scheme. Reasonable expenses incurred through relocation to New Plymouth, where applicable, are reimbursable.
