Dowling riding Busuttin pair
John Dowling has been engaged to ride Lone Arrow and Yours Faithfully, members of Paddy Busuttin’s Foxton team, at the Christchurch Hunt Club’s meeting at Riccarton on Saturday. Busuttin intends to float the pair south today and they are expected to arrive at Riccarton about 9 p.m. this evening. Two other members of the Busuttin team, Aggregate and Genera Lee, were balloted out of their events on Saturday but will still
make the trip south today. Lone Arrow, the topweight for the Amuri Mazda Kennels Handicap, has not impressed in his recent racing in the Central Districts but was twice successful at Riccarton when campaigned at last year’s New Zealand Cup carnival. Yours Faithfully, which contests the Montgomery Maiden Plate on Saturday, will race in minor hurdles events at the Grand National meeting.
