Speed change urged
Britain’s Institute of Advanced Motorists has added its voice to a popular call for a change in the motorway speed limit in the United Kingdom.
The institute is canvassing for an 80 m.p.h. (128 km/h) limit, but advocates that buses and trucks should be kept to 70 m.p.h. It is
also suggested that certain 40 and 50 m.p.h. limits should be reviewed, but that the 30 m.p.h. urban limit should be retained.
