Loan from Japan
Sir,—ls there any connection between the industrial plan for the New Zealand car industry announced last Monday by Mr Templeton, which encourages imports from Japan at the expense of the New Zealand work-force, and the latest loan from Japan announced by the Prime Minister on Friday? The public needs to know the full implications of our indebtedness to foreigners. He who pays the piper calls the tune.—Yours, etc.,
ROBIN GRAY. June 29, 1984.
