Lightning kills player
NZPA-AP Jakarta Lightning killed one footballer, seriously burnt another and struck deaf 26 players and bystanders during a football match southwest of Jakarta, it was reported today. The first flash of lightning killed one player. Just as his
body was being carried off a second bolt hit another player, throwing him off his feet unconscious. Players and spectators flung themselves to the ground as lightning continued to hit the field, deafening them, the newspaper, “Post Kota (City News),” reported.
