COMMERCIAL ACCOUNTANT MANAGEMENT ROLE WELLINGTON CITY A significant organisation in the transport sector requires a competent accountant to maintain and develop the financial and management function of a sector of its overseas trade activities. The appointee will supervise a small team responsible for: • timely presentation of periodic management reports. • establishment of budgets, profit projections and reporting on relevant variances from actual performance, providing cash flow forecasting • ongoing revision of the accounting function relative to development and implementation of systems that provide improved production and control Candidates should: • have concluded an accounting/business qualification with a minimum of 4-5 years commercial experience preferably, though not necessarily, connected with overseas trades, shipping as examples • be capable communicators as the role has frequent contact with senior financial and trade executives Our client is prepared to offer an attractive income and genuine opportunity for an ambitious accountant to progress further in its management structure.
