Top award for ‘Press’ journalist
PA Auckland John Brooks, a rugby writer for “The Press,” Christchurch, was named New Zealand Sports Journalist of the Year at a function in Auckland last evening. Brooks won the award, organised by the New Zealand Sporting Journalists’ Association, for a selection of writings in the last year. The award is open to newspaper, radio and television journalists.
