Arthur’s Pass
Sir,—As a frequent visitor to Arthur’s Pass I fully concur with the local residents regarding the TV coverage of “A Town Like Arthur’s Pass.” It is television coverage at its worst when a night of revelry rates more attention than spectacular sights provided by nature, a superb alpine museum, colourful and tenderly preserved historic cottages and unique Chapel. This lovely village with its own special character deserved better and the residents are justified in feeling entitled to some redress. — Yours, etc., MARION CLARIDGE. Woodend Beach, March 29, 1983.
