Study appeal for S.A. student launched
PA Wellington A public appeal is being launched for $lO,OOO to enable a black South African student to study in New Zealand in the next two years. The appeal was announced yesterday, the twenty-third anniversary of the Sharpeville massacre, by the Southern Africa Scholarship Trust Board, set up by the University Students’ Association. A total of $30,000 is
needed for the project, the rest being raised bystudents and donations.
