25 jobs lost as theatre closes

that the closing was the result of the Lotteries Board not making further funds available to the Arts Council. Mr Monk said that all Ceritrepoint required was . $47,000, which would see it through until an application could be made for a further grant from the Arts Council next year. . He said that the theatre would open its Christmas show, the New Zealand premiere of the Broadway play, “Crimes of the Heart,” Tf this evening. The season would end on December 18. Centrepoint was founded seven years ago.
