Shopping centre opened
Tailored suits and striped ties were the order of the day when 200 people gath- .. ered for the official opening of the Triangle Centre in Christchurch yesterday. The $4.5 million T. and G. Triangle shopping centre has 32 retail shops, and links with more than 200 other shops. The Mayor of Christchurch, Sir Hamish Hay, said
at the opening that he was pleased when any new build--ing was opened in the city as it represented a “vote of confidence” in the future of Christchurch. Sir Hamish described the Triangle complex as potentially one of the most interesting and exciting retail developments in the city centre.
