Another chance for Another Story
By J. J. BOYLE Another Story, the winner of the Westland Racing Club’s Miss Scenicland Stakes two years ago, will go after a second win in that race at Hokitika on Saturday. A win by the chestnut speedster would be well earned, for she has had a checkered career in the last year or so. An injury received in the South Island Thoroughbred Stakes at Orari last spring kept her out of racing for the rest of
the season. She came back into racing in this year’s Geraldine feature race, but her programme was then interrupted further by a virus. Another Story was one of few to gallop the reverse way at Riccarton yesterday. She sprinted 1200 m on the small trial grass in Imin 17.4 s after cutting out the opening 600 m in 36.2. Barry Taggart has engaged Ron McCann to ride Another Story in the $7OOO feature Hokitika race.
