Sir,—My grandson; a young shaver from Christ’s College, is as capable as anyone of performing a good day’s work. However, it is very hard ..for college leavers to obtain work in the current economic climate. Why is it that workers on the Clyde dam are pushing for a pay rise, when young chaps like my grandson would be willing to work for half the wage?—Yours, etc., STANLEY BICKERSTAFFE.
