Crash victim still serious

The Christchurch man who was seriously injured when the motorised hang glider he was flying crashed into a haybarn near Burnham on Saturday afternoon is still in the intensive care unit at Christchurch Hospital. ;' The condition of the man. Peter Frank Dyer, aged 56, of 33 Parkstone' Avenue, was still-serious late last evening. The microlight hang glider, which belonged to Mr Dyer’s son, became airborne while Mr Dyer was taxiing it on its tricycle undercarriage in. a farm paddock. Mr Dyer' suffered broken ankles, a broken pelvis, and some broken ribs.
