Shot men ‘recovering’
PA Auckland Two men are in hospital recovering from wounds after being shot on Saturday evening, the police said yesterday. The Otahuhu police said that about 11.30 p.m. on Saturday they were told that two people had been shot on State highway two, just north of the Red Fox Tavern; Maramarua. Initial reports had bodies “all over the road." accord-
ing to a police spokesman, but the scene was found not to be as bad as feared. Two men had been shot and they were taken to Middlemore Hospital where they were both described as being satisfactory last evening. Detectives arrested two men in connection with the shooting. One will appear in court today charged with discharging a firearm and the other with being an accessory to the fact.
