E.E.C. chief to visit N.Z.
NZPA • London Mr Gaston Thorn, president of the European Economic Community Commission, will visit New Zealand early next year for talks on international trade. His discussions with New Zealand Ministers are also
expected to cover political questions. Mr Thorn, a former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Luxemburg, was expected to be in New Zealand about early February, an E.E.C. spokesman in Brussels said.
He will later visit Australia. Mr Thorn, who was president of the United Nations General Assembly in 1975-76, has been president of the commission since the beginning of this year when he succeeded Mr Roy Jenkins, of Britain.
