New Zealand punters might appreciate the sort of promotion Meadowlands is offering at its trotting meetings next year. On two nights, all paying patrons get a free two-dollar double bet. On others, racegoers will get free admission, and on holiday gift night on December 29 they will be given gifts. The- New Jersey course will hold 182 harness meetings from January to August, and 100 thoroughbred meetings from September 6 to the end of the year.'
