Agnew appeal
The former Vice-President of the United States, Spiro Agnew, will appeal against a judge’s order that he repay $164,000 received in under-the-table payments while he was Governor of Maryland, according to his lawyer. Judge Bruce Williams ruled that Mr Agnew must pay the money to the state, along with 6 per cent compound interest of $112,400 —Annapolis, Maryland.
