Minister to visit
Mr Huang Zhen, Minister in Charge of the Commission for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, China, will visit New Zealand at the invitation of the Government from May 5 to 13. “Mr Huang, who is a distinguished artist, has had a long career in China’s diplomatic service, having served as ambassador in Hungary, Indonesia and France, and most recently as head of the Chinese liaison office in Washington from 1973- to 1977,“ said the Minister for the Arts (Mr Highet). Mr Huang will arrive at Wellington from Australia on Tuesday and will visit Christchurch, Nelson, Rotorua, and Auckland.
