Lutherans not taking tour stand
The Lutheran Church of New Zealand has decided not to oppose officially the forthcoming Springbok rugby tour, but has condemned the South African Government's apartheid policy. On the eve of the big mobilisation against the tour by, many churches, the Lutheran’s annual synod has left the decision on tour opposition to individual members. The Rev. R. J. Wiebusch said that the synod felt that discrimination existed in several forms in New Zealand as well, and everyone was guilty of some form of prejudice., ,
