Sue Bishop in form
Sue Bishop was in fine form, beating her Russel Grace team mate, Adrienne Bond. 5 and 4. in the final of the Canterbury District Ladies’ Golf Association’s silver division match-play competition at Coringa. Two other Russell Grace players. Jeannette Ross and Nan Mann, finished all square. The best individual record in the competition was returned by Jackie Benschop with five wins. Mrs Bishop, with 33 points, won the stableford from Mrs Bond (30). Results:— Mrs S. Bishop beat Mrs A. Bond. 5 and 4: Mrs D. Ritchie beat Mrs

Mann; Mrs J. Gerrnon halved with Miss L. McClurg; Miss S. Hitchon beat Mrs D. Dobson, 1 up; Miss J. Hitchon beat Miss C. Hawe, 1 up; Mrs V. White beat Mrs L. Wilson, 4 and 3.
