N.Z. market at new peak
The New Zealand sharemarket rose to a record high level yesterday when the N.Z.U. index rose almost five points to 653.27. The outstanding move of the strong market was the 18c rise by Watties, to 168 c. Insurance shares continued to firm, and rural sector shares were also firm. Taylors, 15c higher to 165 c was another share to catch the eve.
