Worker reinstated
A woman who- was- dismissed because she allowed ler husband into the control room of the security firm where she worked has been reinstated. The woman was iismissed after her.husband, who works as a security ’uard for the same firm, had )een found asleep on the door while she was on duty. Her four colleagues in the control room went on strike yesterday in protest against
the dismissal and in support of other grievances. They will return to work today after the reinstatement offer. .Mr R. M. Stuart, South island manager of the firm, Armoured Freightways, Ltd. said that the fact that the woman was married to somebody who worked for the company did not give her the right to allow him into the control room, which was a security area.
