Not exactly cricket
NZPA Ramsbottom, Lancashire . lan Callen, the Victorian fast bowler, had what was probably one of the strangest experiences of his career when he turned out for the second match of the Lancashire League cricket season as a professional for Ramsbottom.
After he had bowled two balls against Todmorden in a match at Ramsbottom yesterday, a blizzard swept across the field and play was abandoned with the score at one for no wicket. Most Lancashire league grounds were under snow yesterday after very severe April weather.
